Improving the lives of children,
youth and older adults through intergenerational collaboration,
public policies, and programs.
Generations United works to create a country where all generations are valued, respected and supported; where public policy and programs connect generations instead of separate or isolate them; and where the oldest and youngest members of our society work together to achieve transformational change.
To reach this goal, Generations United, along with its member organizations, partners and stakeholders, focuses on the following critical areas:
Advocacy and Public Policy
Programs (Intentional connections between younger and older people)
Grandfamilies (Grandparents & other relatives raising children)
Intergenerational Spaces (Settings where children, youth and older adults participate in services and/or programs concurrently at the same site)
Seniors4Kids (Older adults advocate on behalf of children)
